Neste sentido, a aprendizagem n\u00e3o \u00e9 transmissiva. O professor, antes central no ato pedag\u00f3gico, passa a ter o papel de tutor, mediando as conex\u00f5es entre o novo conte\u00fado, as experi\u00eancias anteriores e os estilos de aprendizagem do aluno. Na outra ponta, o estudante passa a ter um papel central e ativo e o processo de aprendizagem se d\u00e1 por meio da intera\u00e7\u00e3o entre a pessoa, a sociedade e o conte\u00fado. Nestes estudos, as tecnologias educativas podem ser consideradas ferramentas de pensamento e reflex\u00e3o de novos conceitos. O acesso a uma ampla gama de conte\u00fado aberto possibilita novas experi\u00eancias influenciadas por fatores sociais e culturais durante a constru\u00e7\u00e3o do conhecimento, o que favorece o trabalho colaborativo e a troca de ideias entre os participantes do processo de aprendizagem.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">Embora possa ser amplamente definida como os processos de aprendizagem que acontecem entre estudantes e docentes em ambientes n\u00e3o presenciais, a\u00a0 Educa\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 Dist\u00e2ncia (EAD) pode ser aplicada tamb\u00e9m segundo outros crit\u00e9rios mais espec\u00edficos que envolvem: a sincronicidade do acesso, o per\u00edodo de disponibilidade da oferta, o n\u00famero de participantes, a dimens\u00e3o da oferta, a caracter\u00edstica das forma\u00e7\u00f5es ou ao m\u00e9todo de interse\u00e7\u00e3o com modelos presenciais. Seja como for, a EAD tem como principal ferramenta a utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o das Tecnologias de Informa\u00e7\u00e3o e Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o (TIC). Esse uso, viabilizado pela internet, tem a finalidade de garantir maior qualidade da aprendizagem, do acesso e da colabora\u00e7\u00e3o entre as pessoas.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">Quando comparada aos processos tradicionais, os estudos da EAD debru\u00e7am-se sob as seguintes caracter\u00edsticas: dist\u00e2ncia entre professor e aluno, ruptura temporal do processo de educa\u00e7\u00e3o, media\u00e7\u00e3o tecnol\u00f3gica, flexibiliza\u00e7\u00e3o da estrutura dos conte\u00fados, autonomia e centralidade do aluno enquanto gestor do pr\u00f3prio processo, mudan\u00e7as administrativas e organizacionais, linguagem usada no processo de aprendizagem.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">Para responder \u00e0 terceira pergunta que apoia a constru\u00e7\u00e3o da matriz anal\u00edtica &#8211; Quais s\u00e3o os elementos importantes que constituem uma avalia\u00e7\u00e3o de material do ponto de vista da Educa\u00e7\u00e3o a Dist\u00e2ncia e do Design Instrucional? Entretanto, numa tentativa de buscar padr\u00f5es de qualidade para o campo da EAD no Brasil, dois documentos foram pactuados pelo Minist\u00e9rio da Educa\u00e7\u00e3o com a Secretaria de Educa\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 Dist\u00e2ncia.\u00a0<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">O documento\u00a0Referenciais de Qualidade para Cursos a Dist\u00e2ncia\u00a0tem como objetivo ser um referencial b\u00e1sico em termos de avalia\u00e7\u00e3o, no entanto, sem a pretens\u00e3o de esgotar a complexidade e abrang\u00eancia de um projeto de curso a dist\u00e2ncia. Os crit\u00e9rios definidos s\u00e3o agrupados em categorias: 1) Concep\u00e7\u00e3o de educa\u00e7\u00e3o e curr\u00edculo no processo de ensino e aprendizagem; 2) Sistemas de comunica\u00e7\u00e3o; 3) Material did\u00e1tico; 4) Avalia\u00e7\u00e3o; 5) Equipe multidisciplinar; 6) Infraestrutura de apoio; 7) Gest\u00e3o Acad\u00eamico-Administrativa; 8) Sustentabilidade financeira.\u00a0<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">Esse documento serviu de base para a formula\u00e7\u00e3o de outro documento oficial, o\u00a0Instrumento de Credenciamento Institucional para Oferta de Educa\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 Dist\u00e2ncia, estabelecendo crit\u00e9rios a serem seguidos na avalia\u00e7\u00e3o dos cursos a dist\u00e2ncia, pelos especialistas indicados pelo Minist\u00e9rio.
